Experimenting with drawing objects and different mediums I mixed it up with placing it on my photographs and the results was kinda awesome. It was interesting to see how drawings can change into something else instead of it just sitting on the paper. New ideas can come up which can help a lot when designing something new. Try it, I recommend it!
My concept was a rhetorical question that asks the question if the nature in the picture you see is really true? We as humans place plants and nature in places it shouldn't be or we put it to make it look natural, but does it really?
Enjoy the final photographs!
Till Later!

Urban/Nature Photography
This was something new to me. I usually take pictures that I love and what I feel looks good, but for this project I had to challenge myself to start getting creative with composition. Anyway, I didn't understand what was expected of me but what I do know is that I could have taken photographs!!! :-D
So it's all about finding urbanized buildings or scenes that was inspired by or have some kind of relation to nature. Keeping in mind that this project would be integrated with the next drawing project we had to come up with some sort of statement that was communicated through the images. So here is my top 3 photographs that I chose for my final.

BEST Photograph EVER!
I did it!
I finally achieved my goal for the best photograph I ever took. I mean in a few months I will probably take another awesome photograph and think that will be the next ultimate photograph. But today, right now, I feel this is the best I ever achieved in photography.
I was feeling kinda down the past few days and though that my photography skills are starting to disintegrating. Luckily spending some time with my friend, walking around and taking random shots I got back in the game and this time I will not back down.
From me to you - It is a fact that when you develop a skill like playing guitar, drawing, even driving you just have to keep practicing it. When a skill doesn't get practiced enough it starts to weaken and later just be on the list of "what I used to do" and believe me you don't want your skills to end up there.
Practice makes Perfect.

1st Campaign: Litter in City
At last my campaign is finished and I would like to share it with everyone!
My second element is the brochure:
My third element is the magazine layout:
My last element is the Guerilla technique - Sticker:
So there you have it. After almost 6 weeks of working on this 2 week project and changing a lot of things before the last minute of hand in, I luckily finish this and looking forward to the next exciting project.

I am quickly going to summarize my topic just to refresh everybody's memory about what I did last term.
I had to choose a topic that is about any social awareness in South Africa. The campaign consists out of 4 components which a brochure and Guerilla marketing technique is compulsory. The other two can be anything related to your topic. I choose to design a double spread magazine layout and a poster because it suits my target market.
My Topic: Litter in Cape Town!
I want to make people aware of the litter in Cape Town and how it effects everyones lives. My call to action is to motivate people to pick up litter lying around them and throw it in a bin near them or keep it in a plastic bag and throw it away when approaching a garbage bin.

1st Campaign - Photography Component
Hey everyone!
Had a rough few weeks but luckily the hard part is over and most projects ended.
My final project for this term is a campaign that I've been working on now for about 3 weeks. We were asked to choose a topic that is about any social awareness in South Africa. The campaign consists out of 4 components which a brochure and Guerilla marketing technique is compulsory. The other two can be anything related to your topic. I choose to design a double spread magazine layout and a poster because it suits my target market.

My Photography project is integrated in this campaign. My assignment was to make people aware of the problem and play on emotion when one looks at the photograph. I took documentary photographs throughout the streets of Cape Town to let people, living and working in the city, see how bad it looks and that they need to do something about it.
Here is my 8 photographs I took. My campaign is going to be finalized this week and I'll make sure to post it! Take a good look at these photographs, see how bad our environment looks Cape Town! and start by picking up litter and make a change not only for other people but for you!
